
Colt McCoy is an American who played football professionally for 13 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) as a quarterback. In addition to playing for the San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins, New York Giants, and Arizona Cardinals, McCoy was chosen by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the 2010 NFL draft.
From 2005 until 2009, McCoy was a member of the Texas Longhorns football team, coached by Mack Brown, at the University of Texas at Austin. From 2006 to 2009, Colt started for the Longhorns for four years. He was the only player in school history to win or share the MVP award in all four years. As a high school athlete, he was named to the first team of the state and won two Associated Press 2A Offensive MVP awards. He is fourth overall in Texas high school history and the all-time top passer in Division 2A high school history.
