Antonio Brown played his last snap in the 2021 season. Now 37 years old, the former Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver is still young enough to fit in a Larry Fitzgerald-esque role with a team. Of course, it would take Brown's interest to open the door to such a role. Well, one can check the box for at least that prerequisite. In a Sunday post on X, Brown expressed interest and a longing to be on the field to face his former rival. The post was in response to a hype video that helped set the stage for the contest. The video appeared to be a hype video from a previous Steelers-Baltimore Ravens matchup, but Brown used it as a jumping-off point all the same."Wish I had some pads and helmet on today," he posted.Brown played for the Steelers from 2010-2018 and saw the Ravens many times during those nine seasons. Between 2010 and 2018, the Steelers went 9-11 against the Ravens. In that time, Brown faced players like Ray Lewis and Joe Flacco, who won the Super Bowl while Brown was in the division.Since Brown left the team after the 2018 season, the Steelers have had the edge over Baltimore with an 8-5 record. Of course, Brown's presence could have potentially been enough to assure the team climbs to a 9-5 record against the unit, depending on the fit.Exploring potential Antonio Brown landing spotsAntonio Brown at Buccaneers at Jets - Source: GettyAntonio Brown teased an interest in rejoining the NFL. He was up front about wanting to join the Pittsburgh Steelers again, but the odds of a reunion are unlikely. However, if this is just the first step toward making a potential comeback attempt, several other teams would make sense for Brown. The Buffalo Bills are starving at the wide receiver position and clearly miss Stefon Diggs. However, adding Brown as a depth receiver could help unlock secondaries from the bottom up.Another option would be the Houston Texans, a team that has had trouble filling the gap left by Tank Dell. Adding Brown would offer the chance to help overwhelm depth cornerbacks. One more option could be the San Francisco 49ers, a team that has been through the wringer with Brandon Aiyuk. With his return seemingly becoming more unlikely by the week, adding Antonio Brown to replace Jordan Watkins or Skyy Moore's role as a receiver could be a nice boost to help round out an offense that has seen its fair share of injuries.
