Cam Newton, an American quarterback, played in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons, primarily with the Carolina Panthers. He is the NFL's top quarterback in terms of career running touchdowns and third in terms of career rushing yards.

After a stint with the Florida Gators, Newton played collegiate football with the Auburn Tigers. He won both the 2011 BCS National Championship Game and the Heisman Trophy as a junior. He was selected first overall by the Panthers in the 2011 NFL draft.

Six years before she and Newton started dating, in February 2007, Proctor gave birth to a daughter named Shakira. In a 2017 Instagram post that has since been removed, the professional football star referred to Shakira as his "first child...".

Newton shares four children with ex-girlfriend Proctor.

Chosen Sebastian Newton:

Chosen Sebastian, Newton's son, was born in December 2015. He told the Charlotte Observer the next month that he picked the baby's name because it was "masculine" and "unique."

“My longtime girlfriend and I were extremely blessed to have a son last week,” Newton tweeted at the time. “Our family is excited, and thank you all for the well wishes!”

Sovereign-Dior Cambella Newton:

In February 2017, Newton and Proctor had a daughter, Sovereign-Dior Cambella.

Camidas Swain Newton:

Camidas Swain was born in July 2018.

Cashmere Saint Newton:

September 2019 saw the birth of the couple's fourth child, Cashmere Saint. However, Newton and Proctor divorced the following year due to Proctor's fathering of a child with photographer LaReina Shaw.

According to Newton, his relationship with Shaw was a "humanistic error," leading him to father a child other than Proctor. “My longtime girlfriend at the time [Proctor], we had a family. And I made a mistake, I hurt her, and I jeopardized our family at that time, and I had a child outside of our relationship,” he said on “The Pivot” podcast in 2022.

Caesar Lorenzo:

In July 2019, when he was seeing Proctor, Newton, and Shaw welcomed a son, Caesar Lorenzo.

Jaden:

Shaw gave birth to a boy named Jaden before Caesar's arrival. Newton views her child, who was born in February 2006, as his own son.

Jasmine Brown

In October 2023, Brown made her pregnancy public. February 2024 saw the birth of her daughter with Newton, whose name has not yet been disclosed.

Baby Girl (Undisclosed):

Brown, who called herself "Baby Momma 3," started seeing Newton in 2022.

Baby Boy (Undisclosed):

In May 2025, Brown celebrated Mother's Day by revealing her baby bulge on social media. Four months later, Newton confirmed the baby boy’s arrival on “The Tamron Hall Show”.
