
Mike Evans is a wide receiver who plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers franchise of the NFL. He was a member of the Texas A&M Aggies football team. In the 2014 NFL Draft, Evans was chosen by the Buccaneers with the seventh overall choice in the first round. Evans has been selected to the Pro Bowl six times and was nominated to the second team All-Pro in both 2016 and 2023. Evans was also a member of the team that won Super Bowl LV. He has a record 11 1,000-yard receiving seasons to start a career and is tied with Jerry Rice for the most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons of any receiver in NFL history.
During his time at Ball High School in Galveston, Texas, Evans played track, basketball, and football for the Tors sports teams. College football programs did not actively seek him out because he only played football in his senior year. As a senior, Evans caught 25 passes for 648 yards and seven touchdowns, earning a spot on the second team of District 24-4A.
