Deion Sanders (born August 9, 1967) is an American football coach and former player. As of August 2025, he is the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes at the University of Colorado Boulder. He played as a cornerback and represented five franchises in the NFL, including the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons, the Washington Redskins, and the Baltimore Ravens during his 14-year NFL career. Sanders also played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for nine seasons as an outfielder.
During his playing days, he won back-to-back Super Bowls in 1995 and 1996 with the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys, respectively. Deion "Prime Time" Sanders played his final NFL season with the Baltimore Ravens in 2005, after which he retired and joined the NFL Network as an analyst. During his formative years, Sanders attended North Fort Myers High School, where he was a letterman and All-State honoree in football, basketball, and baseball. He then played college football as a cornerback for the Florida State Seminoles.
