The Detroit Lions ended the Dallas Cowboys' three-game winning streak on Sunday and Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens faced criticism for his performance in the game.
Former five-time Pro Bowler Richard Sherman called out the Cowboys WR for his underwhelming outing on Sunday. However, Pickens took exception to the comment and fired back at the NFL player turned analyst in a deleted social media post, writing:
"Much love --Don't speak on me unless you know the game of football As a former player not a d**kriding. Fan/Analyst that act like double team Is not a thing or certain bracket coverages don't exist. Knowing you played ball which Show me you a LEACH WIERDO Now twitter eat this up clouted ah wrld," Pickens wrote.
Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer addressed the controversy on Friday. Schottenheimer acknowledged Pickens' comments and said he will talk to the WR.

"I'm aware of what was supposedly put out there," Schottenheimer said. "I've not talked to him yet. I understand it's been taken down, but I will be talking to him, just checking on him. Again, this is unfortunately things that we deal with in this profession. But I have not spoken to him, but I will."
Cowboys coach Schottenheimer refused to blame George Pickens for Lions loss
While Richard Sherman seemingly pinned the blame on George Pickens for the 44-30 loss against the Lions, Cowboys coach Schottenheimer said the loss was on the team and not on any individual. He praised Pickens, highlighting his "body of work."
"I don't think any of us coached or played well enough," Schottenheimer said. "All in all, I'm going to judge George on his body of work, man. His body of work, he's shown what an elite player he is and what a game changer that he is. I have no question. "
Pickens has 78 receptions on 1179 yards, both career-bests, in 11 starts for the Cowboys this season. The Cowboys' WR will be looking to silence his critics when they play against the Minnesota Vikings next Sunday.
