Scott Kuggeleijn: A Brief Biography
Scott Christopher Kuggeleijn is a promising all-rounder from New Zealand. Born in Hamilton, he is the son of former spin bowling all-rounder Chris. Scott made his first-class debut in the 2011/12 season for Wellington. In recent times, he has switched allegiance to Northern Districts.
Kuggeleijn made his ODI debut in 2017 against Ireland at Malahide. In the Tri-Nation Series, he played two matches and picked five wickets.
After a brief hiatus, Kuggeleijn returned to New Zealand colours during the one-off T20I against Sri Lanka at Auckland. He showed his big-hitting skills with a powerful 15-ball 35 and also vindicated his bowling prowess by picking up a key wicket.
With his ability to wield the long handle and canny mix of steady seam-up as well as slower ones, Kuggeleijn is an ideal all-rounder for the limited-overs formats. He has earned his place in the New Zealand lineup on the back of consistent performances in the domestic circuit.
