Najibullah Zadran: A Brief Biography
Najibullah Zadran is an Afghan cricketer who represents the Afghanistan Men's National Cricket Team in international cricket. Najibullah is a left-handed batsman known for his power hitting style of play. Zadran can bowl right-arm off break. Najibullah was born on February 18, 1993, in Afghanistan.
International Career
Zadran represented Afghanistan in international cricket for the first time during the 2011 Under-19 World Cup Qualifier in Ireland. He made his senior team international debut July 5, 2012, against Ireland. He made his T20 debut later the same year on September 19, against India.
Domestic Career
Zadran made his Twenty20 debut for the Afghan Cheetahs in the Faysal Bank Twenty20 Cup against Rawalpindi Rams.
On June 3, 2018, Najibullah was selected to play for the Montreal Tigers in the inaugural edition of the Global T20 Canada tournament. Najibullah was a part of the Kandahar's squad in the first edition of the Afghanistan Premier League tournament. He plays for the Chittagong Vikings team in the Bangladesh Premier League.
Zadran captained the Afghanistan under-23 team for the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
In April 2019, Najibullah Zadran was named in Afghanistan's squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
