
Ayo Dosunmu is an American basketball player who is playing for the Chicago Bulls in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Ayo Dosunmu was a consensus first-team All-American in his junior year while playing college basketball at the University of Illinois. The Chicago Bulls selected him with the 38th pick in the 2021 NBA draft.
Dosunmu began his high school career at Westinghouse College Prep in Chicago, where he scored a career-high 40 points against Crane High School as a freshman and was named Chicago Sun-Times All-City. He also led the Warriors to the conference championship in 2015, defeating Al Raby High School. Following his freshman season, Dosunmu transferred to Morgan Park. In his junior season, Dosunmu helped the Mustangs win the 3A State championship; however, he was unable to play in the final game due to an injury. Dosunmu shattered the IHSA record for the most points scored in a championship game when he took the Mustangs back to state for a triumphant run in his senior year, putting up 28 points.
