Luka Doncic is a Slovenian professional basketball guard for the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2024/25 NBA season. He is from Ljubljana, Slovenia, and was born on February 28, 1999. Luka Doncic played in Europe for teams like Union Olimpija and Real Madrid before he started his NBA career. The Atlanta Hawks drafted him as the third overall pick in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft. He was then traded to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for draft rights for Trae Young and a protected first-round pick in the future from the 2019 NBA Draft.
