
American basketball player Chet Holmgren plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association (NBA). In the 2022 NBA draft, the Thunder selected him with the second overall pick. Holmgren returned from an offseason injury that kept him out of the 2022–2023 season, and in 2024, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. His Thunder won the 2025 NBA Finals during his second season.
Holmgren was a five-star athlete at Minnehaha Academy High School and later played an outstanding one year at Gonzaga, averaging 14.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks per game.
