Evgeni Vladimirovich Malkin, nicknamed “Jeno’, is a Russian ice hockey center and alternate captain for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on July 31, 1986, he was selected second overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

During the 2011-12 NHL season, Malkin achieved another milestone by securing his second Art Ross and Hart Memorial trophy thereby becoming the second player to claim both trophies in the same year.
