Calgary Flames goaltender Dustin Wolf is officially engaged. His partner Sawyer Norman announced the news this week with a cinematic winter-themed video featuring the moment Wolf got down on one knee and presented her with a large diamond engagement ring.

Sawyer shared the post on Instagram with the caption:

“12.07.25 the day I got to say yes to forever with my best friend ❤️”

The engagement video opened inside a lodge-style space decorated for the holidays with twinkling Christmas decor, a stone fireplace, arrangements of white roses and an aisle lined with candles.

The sequence then cut to a pair of elegant outfits featuring Sawyer’s white lace dress and Wolf’s dark suit hanging side-by-side. The next scene showed the couple standing together in front of the fireplace before Wolf dropped to one knee holding the ring as Sawyer reacted with visible emotion. The two then embraced as she showed off a large radiant-cut diamond ring in a close-up shot.

Sawyer Norman has an athletic background in Canadian women’s hockey. She played U18 AAA for the Battlefords Sharks and was recognized as a standout defender.

In 2023, she committed to play college hockey with the NAIT Ooks in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference and in March 2024, she celebrated an ACAC Championship victory with the team. Alongside her athletic pursuits, Norman studied Occupational Health & Safety during her time at NAIT.

Dustin Wolf is raking up franchise numbers at the Saddledome

This week, NHL analyst Darren Haynes of The Canadian Press pointed out that Calgary Flames goalie Dustin Wolf has some of the best home-ice numbers of any Flames netminder who has played 30 or more games at the Saddledome.

Wolf, just 24 years old, has posted a career .920 save percentage at home leading all Flames goalies and drawing comparisons to franchise legend Miikka Kiprusoff.

Wolf’s recent form has reinforced that dominance. After a brief rest during the Flames’ road trip, Wolf returned to the crease and recorded three straight home victories allowing only five goals on 83 shots. His career home record stands at 32-16-6 so far.

Meanwhile, analyst Colton Pankiw flagged a clear area for improvement in Wolf’s play on the road. This season, he has struggled away from the Saddledome with a 4.05 goals-against average and an .863 save percentage. Similar patterns appeared in 2024-25 when his road numbers dipped to a 3.13 GAA and .891 save percentage.

However, the analyst also pointed out that at just 95 career NHL games Wolf is still in a key development phase.
