Mitchell Marner is a Canadian right winger and alternate captain for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He chose the London Knights over a Michigan scholarship after being picked in the 2013 OHL draft. In 2014–15, he scored 126 points, won the Jim Mahon Trophy, and was drafted 4th overall by Toronto in 2015. He signed with the Leafs on July 28, 2015.
He made the NHL All-Rookie team in 2016–17 with 61 points, reaching a career-high 94 points in 2018–19. In 2021–22, he posted 97 points in 72 games, helping Toronto set franchise records for wins and points. Marner reached his 400th NHL point in February 2022 and set a Maple Leafs record with a 23-game point streak later that year.
