Predicted Oilers Lineup Tonight: Edmonton's projected lines for game against Winnipeg Jets | Dec. 6, 2025

Nights after a 9-4 thumping of the Seattle Kraken, the Edmonton Oilers are hosting the Winnipeg Jets at Rogers Place tonight, puck drop expected at 8 PM MT. Connor McDavid & co. are currrently 4th in the Pacific Division with a 12-11-5 record, and are vying for a wild card spot, currently being just two points away from third placed LA Kings.

Connor McDavid scored his 13th career hat trick, and his first since Oct. 2022, against the Kraken on Friday. The Oilers captain leads the team with 40 points from 14 goals and 26 assists.

"I feel like we're playing better, obviously, and it's nice to score some goals and feel good about ourselves. It's been a little bit of a grind here finding wins, so it's nice to put a good one together," McDavid said after 9-4 win over Kraken.

Connor Clattenerg is expected to miss tonight's game after taking a high stick to the face, and rushing off the ice bleeding vs. the Kraken on Thursday night. HC Kris Knoblauch provided some relief when he said he the 20-year-old forward received some stitches above his eye, but was doing well.

Oilers fans were teased with a Tristan Jarry trade rumor on Friday night. Both goalies were seen embracing each other, after the last game vs. Kraken, which fueled further speculations about Calvin Pickard's trade from the Oilers.

Early on Saturday morning, TSN insider Ryan Rishaug confirmed that GM Stan Bowman did not make any goaltending trades despite "wild speculations" surrounding Penguins' Tristan Jarry.

Winnipeg Jets' keys to success vs. the Sabres was the fourth liners Tanner Pearson and Cole Koepke, who scored two crucial goals to seal the victory. Head coach Scott Arniel lauded the fourth line for their contribution after the win.

“When your fourth line can do that and score you two goals that’s a big game changer. Especially in the second period of a tight game. We did a good job of not trying to open it up, and when those guys get an opportunity like that, a breakaway, 2-on-1 or 2-on-0, whatever it was, that’s big for our group,” said Scott Arniel.
