Haas F1 Team is an American licensed Formula One racing team established by NASCAR Cup Series co-owner Gene Haas in April 2014. The team made its debut in the 2016 season. The Current team principal for the Haas team is Guenther Steiner. The team will feature Michael Schumacher’s son Mick Schumacher in his debut season in 2021.

Racing History

Haas F1(2016-Present)

Haas F1 started its journey in 2016 as Romain Grosjean took the car to 6th place on its debut. 2016 would feature a few more eye-catching performances from the team as the team would finish their debut season 8th in the standings with 29 points. Haas would also become the first American constructor to score points in their first race in Formula One.

In 2017, Haas would replace Esteban Guitierrez with Kevin Magnussen for the 2017 season. The new driver pairing would bear fruit for the team as the duo would be more consistent as compared to the previous season. Haas would finish the season 8th in the standings for the second year in a row.

In 2018. The team would face criticism for its car’s resemblance with the last year’s Ferrari. However, despite such criticisms, the team would record its best showing in a season until now. Haas would finish the season 5th in the standings. Almost doubling the points scored in the previous season.

In 2019. However, the team suffered from a lack of driver harmony and an uncompetitive car that saw it drop to 9th in the championship. For the 2020 season, Haas suffered a major blow as the Ferrari engine suffered severely from a new FIA directive. The team would suffer massively in terms of competitiveness and would drop down the order even further. They would finish the season 9th in the championship with just 3 points on the board.

For the 2021 season, Haas would feature Michael Schumacher’s son Mick Schumacher making his debut with the team.
