Troy Aikman is a former American professional football player who played in the National Football League (NFL). He played as a quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. Aikman was selected as the first overall pick in the 1989 NFL Draft. He holds the record for the most seasons by any Cowboys quarterback, as he played 12 consecutive seasons as the starting quarterback with them.
