However, following the win, the Steelers received bad news about two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver DK Metcalf. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that the Steelers' wide receiver did not travel with the team back to Pittsburgh.

Metcalf stayed in Baltimore after their win against the Ravens as he dealt with stomach issues. The Steelers wide receiver was taken to a hospital for evaluation and spent the night in a hotel. The hospital visit ruled out any internal injuries to the WR.

"Steelers standout WR DK Metcalf stayed overnight in (a) Baltimore hotel after going to a local hospital following the game, team spokesman Burt Lauten confirmed,” Rapoport wrote. “Metcalf was experiencing stomach pains on the flight and out of an abundance of caution, team medical personnel sent him to a nearby hospital. He’s flying back to Pittsburgh today.”

Metcalf is set to return to Pittsburgh on Monday and will reportedly get an extra day to rest and recover for the Steelers' clash against the Miami Dolphins next Monday.

Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf remains crucial piece in Pittsburgh's postseason pursuit

DK Metcalf caught seven passes for 148 yards, both season-best for the 27-year-old, from Aaron Rodgers in Sunday's win against the Ravens. The two-time Pro Bowler, who was traded to the Steelers in March, has proven to be Rodgers' top target on offense.

The win over the Ravens gave the Steelers a one-game lead in the AFC North. However, the Steelers would want Metcalf fit and available for the remaining four games of the season as they continue their quest for a playoff berth.

Since joining the team in March, Metcalf has led the team with 52 receptions, 753 yards, and five touchdowns in 13 games.
