Speaking with reporters, Dan Quinn expressed his disappointment after the shootout loss, labeling it as unacceptable. “What I told the team was I thought we took a step forward last week, and tonight, I thought we took three steps back,” Quinn said. “Tonight, to me, none of it was acceptable. Four division games in our season, and it is an absolute must that we recapture that forward progress that I saw in the last week because we absolutely did not have that tonight in all three phases all the way through.”The Vikings racked up 313 yards against 206 from the Commanders. They completed six of 11 third-down attempts and recorded 5.1 yards per play. Washington is out of playoff contention now. They will face the New York Giants, the Philadelphia Eagles (twice) and the Dallas Cowboys to close out the season.
