She was born on June 25, 1992, in Erie, Pennsylvania, U.S. McBride started her basketball journey at Villa Maria Academy, which is in her hometown. After schooling, she joined the Notre Dame Fighting Irish women's basketball team, where she established herself as the best point guard in the state.
