A'ja Wilson opens up about intense workouts with Bam Adebayo

A'ja Wilson's elevated offense was out wide in the open during her 2025 WNBA season campaign. Improved jump shot and fadeaways, Wilson looked more dangerous than she ever was.

A lot of improvements in her game were owed to her workout with her boyfriend. Wilson said that sometimes Adebayo's intense defense annoyed her.

"I'm just like, 'No one in our league can do that,'" said Wilson. "Well, me, maybe. I get mad at times because I'm just like, 'OK, now be a WNBA player. Don't do that.'"

Despite the intense practice, Wilson has continued working out with her boyfriend, and it has paid big time. She has taken her offense to the next level, and she looks more unstoppable than ever.

"We make each other better. We sharpen each other's skills. That's kind of what makes us go. The gym is a happy place."

A'ja Wilson's fadeaway buzzer beater against the Phoenix Maecury in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals wasn't a lucky shot. Before that moment, she had practiced that shot with Adebayo many times in the past.
