Stefon Marsean Diggs is an American football wide receiver for the New England Patriots in the NFL. The Minnesota Vikings drafted Diggs as the 146th pick in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He started nine games playing in 13 in his rookie year, where he recorded 52 receptions for 720 yards, scoring four touchdowns. After five seasons and 70 appearances for the Vikings, Diggs was traded to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for several early-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Diggs led the league in terms of receptions (127) and receiving yards (1,535) in the 2020 NFL season. After four seasons and 66 appearances, Diggs was traded to the Houston Texans in 2024 and subsequently joined the Patriots at the beginning of the 2025 season.

Stefon Diggs Injury History

Diggs has sustained numerous injuries during his nine-year career in the NFL as of October 2025 as per DraftSharks. In 2016, he suffered a groin strain in October, a knee strain in November, and a hip strain in December. He re-injured his groin in October 2017, followed by a rib injury in October 2018. In 2021, he sustained a torn abdominal muscle in January, followed by a knee injury in August.

Inguinal Groin Pull Grade 1 (2016)

On 3rd October, 2016, Diggs sustained a groin injury during the Week 4 game against the Giants. He missed the Week 5 game and returned after the Week 6 bye.

Knee Strain Grade 1 (2016)

Diggs sustained a knee injury during the Week 11 game against the Cardinals on 20th November, 2016. He was sidelined for the next week's game.

Inguinal Hip Sprain (2016)

On 21st December, 2016, Diggs sustained a hip injury during the Week 16 game against the Packers. He missed out on the final game of the season due to the injury.

Inguinal Groin Strain Grade 2 (2017)

Diggs re-aggravated his groin injury during the Week 5 game against the Bears on 9th October, 2017. He missed the following two games due to the injury.

Chest Rib Bruise (2018)

On 28th October, 2018, Diggs sustained a bruised rib during the Week 8 game against the Saints. He missed the Week 9 game and returned after the Week 10 bye.

Abdomen Muscle Tear Grade 3 (2021)

Diggs sustained an abdominal muscle tear during the Week 17 game against the Dolphins on 5th January, 2021. He played through the oblique injury during the postseason.

Knee Patella Sprain (2021)

On 9th August, 2021, Diggs sustained a knee sprain during the off-season practice and missed training camp as a result.

Knee ACL Tear (2024)

Diggs did not return after suffering a non-contact injury to his knee on October 27 during Week 8 against the Colts. He would miss the rest of the season due to what was subsequently determined to be an ACL tear. He caught 47 passes for 496 yards and three touchdowns at the end of the 2024 season.
