The Patriots (11-2) are tied with the Denver Broncos for the league’s best record and have a shot at their first AFC East title in six years. However, they are the underdogs for Sunday's game according to several sportsbooks.

Some might consider it an insult as New England is having a strong season, but the wide receiver sees it differently.

“Good,” Diggs told reporters on Wednesday.

“I feel like it's good for us being the underdog. People like us have been the underdog our whole life. We’re going to have something to prove regardless. But I feel like the main thing is, it gets exciting when you’re the underdog. When you’ve got a lot to prove. When you’re playing with that edge, and you’re playing aggressively.”

The Patriots have a better record than the Bills (9-4), will play at home and defeated Buffalo 23-20 in Week 5.

"Nobody believes in us but us," Diggs said. The record is surprising to everybody, and all we did was take it one game at a time, and I think we’re going to do the same thing with this one."

Diggs, who played for Buffalo from 2020 to 2023, had a standout performance in the October clash. He hauled in 10 catches for 146 yards, handing Buffalo its first defeat of the season.

He told NBC’s Melissa Stark after the game that is was personal, leaving fans wondering if he’ll bring the same fire to Sunday’s game.

Diggs amassed 445 receptions, 5,372 yards and 37 touchdowns over his four years with the Bills.

Like Stefon Diggs, Drake Maye also embraces the Patriots' underdog status for Week 15 vs. the Bills

Like Stefon Diggs, being 1.5-point underdogs against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday serves as extra motivation for Drake Maye.

"I think any time you're at home and you're an underdog, it gives you something to play for a little bit," Maye said on Wednesday. "And I think we're not really worried about whatever the underdog, whatever they set the line at. It's us versus them regardless. They put the ball down, it's gonna be 0-0 for 60 minutes."
