Kai Asakura, a Japanese professional mixed martial artist from Tochigi, Japan, carved his legacy with his aggressive fighting style equipped with knockout power. Born on October 31, 1993, he now competes in the flyweight division, having first dazzled fans with his electrifying performances in the bantamweight division of Japan's RIZIN Fighting Federation.

Asakura embarked on his MMA journey in 2012, and stormed into RIZIN in 2017, leaving an immediate impression. His defining moment came at Rizin 18 in 2019, where he stunned the world with a spectacular first-round knockout of Kyoji Horiguchi, a victory that rocketed him to national fame. Asakura seized the RIZIN bantamweight championship for the first time at RIZIN 23 by beating Hiromasa Ougikubo. Along the way, he secured thrilling victories against formidable foes like Manel Kape and Ulka Sasaki.
