Chapter Seven Season 1: Pacific Break kicks off a new era for Fortnite Battle Royale on a brand new island called The Golden Coast. Following the events of the Fortnite Zero Hour Chapter Finale Live Event, a brand new timeline has been established, and with it, an infinite number of possibilities. However, not everything is perfect in paradise, as The Last Reality’s Mothership, the Queen’s Cradle, has returned. There are no signs of an alien invasion just yet, but that can change at any given time. We could see The Imagined Order return since The Foundation, leader of The Seven, will appear on the island sometime later this Season.
For the moment, the storyline is shrouded in some uncertainty, and things will unfold over time. In the meantime, unlike in the past, wherein the Battle Bus dropped you off over the island, you will Storm Surf your way to shore this time around, at least for the time being. The Battle Bus will eventually be repaired, but until then, Surf’s up!
Once on the Island, you will be able to explore a sun-soaked paradise on foot, by car, or through the air in new hot air balloons. Wingsuits are a featured mobility item this Season, which will allow you to launch up and glide wherever the action takes you. If you get knocked out, don’t worry, cause this time around, you will not have to use a Reboot Van; instead, a friend will be able to drive it to you. The introduction of Driable Reboot Vans will shake up strategy in various ways, especially during the late game. You will also be able to self-revive using the Self-Revive Device is in your inventory.
Speaking of being knocked down, while being DBNO (Down But Not Out), you will have access to new mechanics such as Roll & Tumble, DBNO Sprint, and even use mobility tools such as Ziplines and Ascenders. If all else fails, wait for a friend to toss you into the back of a Reboot Van to be revived while knocked down.
That’s not all that’s there to look forward to in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1: Pacific Break. New weapons have been introduced to the mix, which include things such as the Arc-Lightning Gun and Forsaken Vow Blade. You will also be able to defeat bosses to gain their loot and powers. Lastly, Rift Anomalies will appear on the island soon, and Gold Bar (resource) has been overhauled alongside an improvise Simple Build.
