The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl is one of the oldest college football bowl games in the United States. This bowl game was first introduced in 1968 and since then, 57 editions of the game have been played, as of January 2025. The Peach Bowl has been a part of the College Football Playoff group since 2014. However, this bowl game has also had partnerships with the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in the past.

The first edition of the Peach Bowl game on December 30, 1968, saw the LSU Tigers beating the Florida State Seminoles 31-27. The Peach Bowl has been hosted at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium since 2017. The Peach Bowl saw its 57th game being played on January 1, 2025, between the Texas Longhorns and the Arizona State Sun Devils. Texas won the game 39-31.

Peach Bowl Sponsorship and Broadcasting Rights

The Peach Bowl has been sponsored by sponsored by Chick-fil-A since 1997. It was known as the Chick-fil-A Bowl from 1997 to 2005 This even got the name of the game changed to Chick-fil-A Bowl from 2006 to 2013. However it resorted back to using the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl name since Peach Bowl joined the College Football Playoff (CFP). ESPN owns the broadcasting rights of the Peach Bowl games as of January 2025.
