Coach Prime's daughter, Shelomi chasing a basketball career

Coach Prime is one of the most accomplished sports stars of all time. The Colorado Buffaloes head coach is a Pro Football Hall of Famer, and he also enjoyed a successful baseball career in the MLB. So, it's unsurprising that his children embarked on their own sporting careers.

While her brothers played collegiate football, Shelomi Sanders opted to take her talents to the basketball court. She started her career at Jackson State, playing two games with the Tigers before following her dad to Colorado and joining the Buffaloes basketball team.

Shelomi appeared in five games for the Colorado Buffaloes. She saw just 11 minutes of action in her time at Colorado, and opted to take her talents to Alabama A&M. It's the first time she's playing basketball at a school where her famous father isn't employed.

Shelomi Sanders started her Alabama A&M career promisingly, winning the "Bulldog of the Week" award. It's a weekly honor that recognizes standout performances and leadership across Alabama A&M's sports programs.

Sanders needs to up her productivity at the collegiate level to give her a chance of getting drafted in the WNBA. She's currently averaging 1.5 points, 0.6 rebounds, and 0.4 assists in the 2025 college basketball season.

As for Coach Prime, he's rounding up his third season as the Colorado Buffaloes head coach. The Buffaloes finished with a 3-9 record in their first season without Shedeur Sanders, Shilo Sanders, and two-way phenom Travis Hunter. It's a forgettable campaign for Coach Prime, and he'll look to correct the flaws in the offseason. The Buffaloes are set for an offseason of major movements via high school recruitment and the College Football transfer portal.
