Lane Kiffin will return to Oxford in Week 3 of the 2026 CFB season to face off against the Ole Miss Rebels. Kiffin spent six seasons as the Ole Miss head coach before accepting the LSU job.

Kiffin led the Ole Miss Rebels to an 11-1 record in the 2026 season. The record was good enough to get the Rebels in the College Football Playoffs.

However, Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter didn't let Kiffin lead the team during the postseason because he accepted the LSU job. Kiffin ultimately took over the Tigers' job with immediate effect, and he's now preparing for the 2026 season.
