In the NBA, two-way players have the unique chance to prove that they belong with the big boys while also getting to hone their craft in the G League. Every now and then, some of these players steal the show and put up numbers worthy of an NBA starter.
This past week, NBA fans were reminded of the immense talent that can be found among the ranks of two-way players. It wouldn't be a surprise if some of these players become full-fledged rotation pieces in the NBA, sooner or later.

Pat Spencer's journey with the Golden State Warriors began back in 2022, when he signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the team. Since then, he's been a familiar face on the G League roster of the Santa Cruz Warriors. As Golden State continues to deal with injuries to their rotation players, Spencer has stepped up in a huge way over the past three games, putting up 19 points and seven assists in a Saturday night win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Ryan Nembhard

As far back as the Dallas Mavericks' training camp, Ryan Nembhard appears to have earned coach Jason Kidd's trust. In 11 games (including five contests in which he was a starter), Nembhard has been averaging 8.7 points on 54.8% field goal shooting, along with 4.5 assists.
Moussa Cisse

Another bright spot in an otherwise bleak season for the Mavericks is Moussa Cisse. The 6-foot-11 Guinean center has played in 17 games thus far, and he has made his presence felt by being in the top five of the Mavs' defensive box plus/minus. Cisse's traditional stats may not be mind-blowing, but he helps the Mavericks have a competitive chance to win games through his defensive prowess.
Spencer Jones

For two seasons, Spencer Jones has enjoyed the privilege of learning from the likes of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray. In the absence of Aaron Gordon, Jones has held his own in the Denver Nuggets' starting frontcourt.
Daniss Jenkins

The Detroit Pistons have had many good things going their way this season, and Daniss Jenkins is one of them. The 6-foot-4 point guard is putting up 8.7 points, 3.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game, even earning six starting nods as the Pistons ascended to the top of the Eastern Conference.
