The Golden State Warriors are expected to explore trade options and entertain offers for young forward Jonathan Kuminga. The latest Warriors trade rumors suggest that a fellow Western Conference team remains interested in Kuminga. However, the team isn't going to include a draft capital in any potential deal. According to Andscape's Marc J. Spears, the Sacramento Kings are still interested in Kuminga amid their possible rebuild. The Kings are reportedly willing to offer Malik Monk to Golden State, but they are not going to attach a first-round pick anymore. The Kings were one of the two teams that showed interest in Kuminga last offseason. The reported offer at the time was Monk and a protected first-round pick for the young prospect. However, the Warriors turned it down and eventually signed Kuminga to a two-year extension. While things started well for Jonathan Kuminga and the Golden State Warriors this season, an injury derailed his development once again. Kuminga was named a starter at the beginning of the campaign, but he recently received a DNP from coach Steve Kerr against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday. Kuminga was a healthy scratch, indicating his place on the Warriors' pecking order. Kerr preferred Jimmy Butler as the starter, while Gui Santos played as his backup. Santos did earn his playing time over the past few games, while the coach also lamented about Kuminga's inconsistency and turnovers. In addition to the Sacramento Kings, the Phoenix Suns were also interested in Kuminga back in the offseason. They reportedly offered a package of Royce O'Neale, Nick Richards and a second-round pick, but Golden State also turned it down. Kuminga told ESPN's Anthony Slater after the Bulls game that his relationship with Kerr remains the same, and they are on good terms. "We have a good relationship," Kuminga said. "We talk and figure out things. We don't have any problem. I don't have any problem, just didn't go my way. I'm going to stay happy, stay locked in, stay focused, stay positive."Kuminga added that as long as the team is winning, his playing isn't important. It will be interesting to see if his value plummets or increases as the season approaches the trade deadline.
