Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been mentioned as one of the top point guards to make noise at the NBA trade deadline. Morant isn't the only elite guard being monitored. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, LaMelo Ball of the Charlotte Hornets and Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks could be traded soon. Morant's relationship with the Grizzlies' coaching staff has been the main reason why he's being linked to a potential trade. Ball, on the other hand, has been rumored to be open to a trade. Although the Hornets star shut down the rumors that he wants to move on from Charlotte.Lastly, Young hasn't had much success with the Hawks. Many believe that his time is up in Atlanta. These three All-Star guards are heavy favorites to be traded this season, Stein said. The insider talked about it on Friday's episode of "All NBA Podcast."“These three All-Star lead guards are being grouped together in the eyes of executives,” Stein said. “LaMelo Ball, Ja Morant, Trae Young. Maybe they are not available today as we speak … But they are players that teams are anticipating could be available between now and the trade deadline on Feb. 5."The three guards might have run their course with their respective teams. Nevertheless, the groups have not made any formal announcement regarding their interest in relocating them. Stein said that the three stars could create chatter once they become available in the trade market. Given that they have all been All-Stars at some point, teams looking for an elite facilitator could explore deals around the three.Former Grizzlies forward is frustrated with Ja MorantJa Morant made headlines on Saturday when the Grizzlies played against the Dallas Mavericks. After the game, he talked some smack to four-time champion Klay Thompson. This turned into a heated postgame exchange between the two.Following that interaction, former Grizzlies forward Chadler Parsons expressed his frustration with Morant on Monday's episode of FanDuel TV's "Run It Back." According to him, it's frustrating to talk about the two-time All-Star outside of basketball. He wishes to see the athletic guard mature soon.“Why are we always talking about Ja Morant and something outside of basketball? … I just wish Ja would mature at some point and stop doing stupid s**t,” Parsons said.Parsons stated that he concurs with Thompson's remarks regarding Ja Morant. After the contest, the Mavericks guard addressed his interaction with the star player."We all want to see him out there and do his best, but he's just been letting a lot of other stuff get in the way of that," Thomson said. "We need that in the NBA. We need our best players to be out there, and when you're a star, it comes with a great responsibility. I hate to see that go to waste."The next time the Grizzlies play the Mavericks will be on Feb. 27.
