Kevin Durant took a jab at Ja Morant's locker room issues in the Rockets' 124-109 win over the Grizzlies on Wednesday. A video of the 15-time All-Star surfaced online, where he is seen engaging in friendly banter with Morant's father while playing the game.

A fan, sitting courtside, recorded the video as Durant told the Grizzlies star's father to enjoy his last weekend in Memphis. The 15-time All-Star insinuated that Morant is getting traded in the near future.

"Your son don’t wanna be here. We know it’s your last weekend. Enjoy your time," Durant said.

Durant delivered a good performance while talking trash. He scored 11 points, collected four rebounds, and dished out five assists. Amen Thompson was the star for the night as he led the team's scoring chart. The Rockets guard netted 28 points, collected 10 rebounds, and dished out seven assists.

Ja Morant was back on the court for his second game after serving a one-game suspension because of his comments on the coaching staff and subtly voicing his complaints about his reduced playtime.

The Grizzlies guard tried his best to keep his team in the game, but failed to accomplish it. He ended the night with 17 points, five rebounds, and eight assists.

Ja Morant expresses no interest in becoming the league's face

LeBron James and Stephen Curry have carried the NBA as the league's two faces for almost two decades now. However, both of the future Hall of Famers are at the twilight of their careers and will most probably retire in the next few years.

A discussion about James and Curry's retirement often leads to the debate about the next face of the NBA. Many fans have expressed support for Luka Doncic, while others have campaigned for Anthony Edwards. Ja Morant is also mentioned in the discussions sometimes, but the Grizzlies star has no interest in being the league's face.

After a 131-118 loss against the Golden State Warriors on Monday, Ja Morant spoke with "The Athletic" on being the face of the league.

"There’s a lot that comes with that,” He said. “I play basketball for the love of the game, not to be the face of the NBA. Obviously, I hear that a lot. I don’t put no pressure on it."
"I just go out and just play my game. Me pretty much just going out there and doing that had me in those conversations. Obviously, people have their own opinions, but I really don’t care for it too much."

The Grizzlies guard rejected the idea, saying that there is too much pressure that comes with being labeled the face of the league.
