Joel Embiid is ruled out of the Philadelphia 76ers' regular-season game against conference rivals Orlando Magic on Monday. The Sixers center is sidelined owing to "injury management", with the franchise scheduled to play on back-to-back nights. Embiid isn't fully healthy, and given his injury history, Philadelphia won't further jeopardize his health by playing him on consecutive nights. The one-time league MVP has been on a 20-minute restriction to start the season and suited up in both of the previous two games. He was spectacular against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday and set the platform for the Sixers' 125-121 win with a dominant performance in limited minutes. He finished with 20 points in 20 minutes and shot 7 of 11 from the floor, including 3 of 6 from 3-point range. Joel Embiid voiced his unhappiness with the current minutes restriction on him after a strong performance on Saturday."The longer I sit, the shorter stints, you play 2-3 minutes and you gotta get out, that's literally nothing," Embiid said. "I might as well just stay home and be with my family. Longer stints, you're able to let the game come to you."Meanwhile, Joel Embiid will be joined on the sidelines by four more Sixers players. Paul George (left knee surgery recovery), Jared McCain (right thumb surgery recovery), Dominick Barlow (right elbow laceration) and Trendon Watford (left hamstring tightness) are also ruled out.How to watch Philadelphia 76ers vs. Orlando Magic? The Philadelphia 76ers vs. Orlando Magic game will take place on Monday, Oct. 27, at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
