The Utah Jazz and LA Lakers locked horns in a regular-season game at the Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday. The game marked the comeback of LeBron James, who made his season debut after missing the first 14 games due to a right sciatica injury.

James took his place in the starting lineup alongside Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura and Deandre Ayton. On the other hand, the Jazz started the game with a lineup featuring Keyonte George, Ace Bailey, Svi Mykhailiuk, Lauri Markkanen and Jusuf Nurkic.

The Jazz hit the Lakers with a barrage of 3-pointers, knocking down four of their first eight attempts from beyond the arc. The blistering shooting helped the visitors take an early 16-6 lead as the Lakers struggled offensively, missing their first four 3-point attempts.

The Lakers made a 15-6 run coming out of a timeout and reduced the deficit. The Jazz responded with a 9-2 run to close the quarter and took a 36-27 lead into the second quarter.

LeBron James' first bucket in year 23 came in the second quarter when he knocked down a catch-and-shoot 3-pointer on his second attempt of the night. The veteran forward’s playmaking from the post created several scoring opportunities for the Lakers through well-timed cuts.

For the Jazz, Keyonte George had 21 points, and the Lakers had no answer for him on or off the ball. He shot lights out from beyond the arc, converting five of his nine attempts from deep. The Lakers won the second quarter 40-35, but the Jazz entered the break with a 71-67 lead.

The Lakers trailed 84-81 in the middle of the third quarter before closing the period on a 21-5 run to take a 104-93 lead into the final period. James set the building on fire with a laser pass to Gabe Vincent, who knocked down a corner 3-pointer at the buzzer. James had 11 points, Reaves had 19 and Doncic had 37 after three quarters.

The fourth quarter was all about James' outstanding playmaking as the Lakers dropped a season high 140 points on the night and won the game by a margin of 13 points.
