A week after calling Luka Doncic "slow", former LA Lakers forward Robert Horry took another subtle aim at the Slovenian point guard on Wednesday. Horry's criticism came after the Purple and Gold sustained the most embarrassing defeat of their season, falling to a 121-92 loss against the OKC Thunder at the Paycom Center.
Doncic delivered an ordinary performance against the Defending champion and reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He had 11 points on 13 shots in the first half, leaving the Lakers trailing 70-38. He missed four of his seven attempts in the third quarter, with the Lakers falling into a deep 100-64 hole at the end of the period.
Following Doncic's poor shooting performance, Horry bluntly questioned his shot selection. The Lakers legend also raised eyebrows by boldly affirming that Doncic is trying too hard to be the guy for the Purple and Gold.
"He's trying so hard to be that guy," Horry said on Spectrum SportsNet. "... A lot of his shots to me were bad shots because you got 3 defenders on you. Move the ball, it'll come back to you."

Earlier in the month, when the Lakers recorded a thrilling 118-116 win over the San Antonio Spurs, Horry caught immense flak for questioning Luka Doncic's speed. Horry voiced his frustration with the former Dallas Mavericks point guard’s decision-making, criticizing him for failing to involve teammates who were in better positions to score.
