Some are still furious about former general manager Nico Harrison coveting and replacing Luka Doncic with him nine months ago. Meanwhile, those who have moved on from the trade are frustrated with his injuries.

Davis may have given a few of them more reason to be furious with him. On Sunday, as the Mavericks hosted the Portland Trail Blazers, Davis repped Jordan Love's Packers jersey on Dallas' bench. That decision didn't sit well with Mavericks fans who are also die-hard Cowboys fans.

Both NFL franchises have a historic rivalry, and Davis opting to show his support for the Packers, a team he's always supported, didn't sit well with Dallas sports fans.

How is this any different than literally any other injury? They don’t play till the medical staff says they are ready. This whole story is silly and to me seems like it’s just a way to keep him on the sidelines till a trade happens
