Toronto Raptors vs San Antonio Spurs preview
The San Antonio Spurs have started the 2025-26 season on a strong note, sitting atop the Western Conference with a perfect 3-0 record.
They opened the season with two impressive road wins, beating the Dallas Mavericks 125-92 and the New Orleans Pelicans 120-116. They kept that momentum going when they returned home, with a 118-107 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday.
Not surprisingly, Victor Wembanyama has been the biggest contributor to the Spurs’ success. He’s emerging as a favorite in both the MVP and Defensive Player of the Year races, averaging 33.3 points, 13.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 6.0 blocks and 1.7 steals per game.
The Toronto Raptors also had an encouraging start to the season, taking a dominant 138-118 victory over the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena. But since then, they’ve struggled to keep up the same energy, suffering losses in back-to-back matchups against the Milwaukee Bucks and the Dallas Mavericks.

Toronto Raptors vs San Antonio Spurs prediction
The Toronto Raptors just don’t have the size or depth to contain Victor Wembanyama or outplay him on either end of the court. Even if they manage to keep the ball away from him, the Spurs still have Stephon Castle, Devin Vassell and Dylan Harper as reliable secondary scorers. That’s simply too many threats for Toronto to try to limit.
With the way San Antonio has been playing and the momentum it has built, the Spurs look ready to extend their winning streak to four games.
Prediction: Expect the Spurs to win by 9 points.
