There has been speculation over Giannis Antetokounmpo's recent social media activities. The Milwaukee Bucks star deleted the posts on his X (formerly Twitter) account until 2021. One of the top posts left in his timeline was a picture of the late Kobe Bryant in a LA Lakers' jersey.

Fans have started to link the two-time MVP to the Lakers. During the offseason, there were rumors that Antetokounmpo could ask to be traded out of Milwaukee. This started after the Bucks had their third straight first-round playoff exit. But the 2025-26 NBA season started, and the star forward remains with the organization that drafted him.

This time, rumors about his future have started to take over social media again. Given that he cleaned his timeline, leaving only his tribute to Bryant, fans couldn't help but link him to the Lakers. Here are some of what the fans said about Antetokounmpo's recent actions online.

It wasn't the situation that Antetokounmpo and the franchise envisioned over the summer. However, with the Greek Freak being the lone star, the Bucks' record is a testament to how tough it is to win in the NBA.

On Tuesday's episode of FanDuel TV's "Run It Back," Antetokounmpo and the Bucks became a hot topic. Trade rumors have started to resurface, and former NBA player Lou Williams believes the star forward should be held accountable for Milwaukee's situation.

"I’ve got to be honest, he’s part of the mess," Williams said (Timestamp: 16:55). "He’s part of the mess, right? Like, my thing is the separation between Giannis and the Bucks, there’s a separation between what we’re talking about.

"At some point there has to be accountability from your best player on the team, to your coach, to your management, and look in the mirror and say, how did we get to this position?

Williams said that Giannis Antetokounmpo has been part of most of the Bucks' decisions. Both the star player and the organization share the same level of accountability for the level of success they've had so far.
