The Warriors star is exploring his freedom of expression that came as a bonus to ending his Under Armour partnership. The Warriors star was seen rocking Kobe Bryant's Nike shoes and even Shaquille O'Neal's Reebok shoes in tunnel walks before games.

Curry's exit from Under Armour was mutual, as the brand announced the split in a press release. However, a new report from "Sports Business Journal" suggests that Caitlin Clark might have played a part in the Warriors star's big decision.

On Saturday, "Up & Adams" show host Kay Adams asked the Rockets star if he knew where Curry was taking his sneaker brand and how he felt about it possibly being Nike.

"That would be incredible, I hope that happens." Durant said. "No disrespect to Under Armour but he should have always been a Nike athlete."

Steph Curry and Nike were once very close to putting pen to paper. However, things went horribly wrong during a pitch meeting, which pushed the Warriors star towards Under Armour.

Curry had worn Nike sneakers throughout the first four seasons of his career. However, in 2013, the Warriors star's initial deal with the swoosh brand was about to expire. So, the Warriors star started meeting top sneaker brands.

Under Armour had offered Curry, who was yet to make his first All-Star apperance, a $4 million per year plus a signature shoe deal. Nike, on the other hand, was offering only $2.5 million per year.

To make matters worse, the Nike representative mispronounced Steph Curry's name during a meeting and showed a wrong presentation with Kevin Durant's name on it. Things went south quickly in the meeting, and the Warriors star made his mind to accept Under Armour's offer later.
