The Golden State Warriors didn't need their "Big 3" on Saturday to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, with backup guard Pat Spencer dropping a career high. Spencer even got the highest compliment from coach Steve Kerr following the Warriors' 99-94 win at the Rocket Arena.Speaking to reporters after the game, Kerr was asked about Spencer's first career start for the depleted Warriors. The 29-year-old guard finished with 19 points, four rebounds, seven assists and one steal. He went 7-for-12 from the field and knocked down three of his four shots from beyond the arc."I think his coach realized that Pat is that motherf*cker," Kerr said. "I think that became clear. Sorry, am I allowed to say that? Am I gonna get in trouble?"Steve Kerr was alluding to what Pat Spencer told the Philadelphia crowd the other night in the Warriors' loss to the Sixers. Spencer had a fantastic night there as well, so it's now three great games in a row for him. While Spencer led the way on Sunday, it was a total team effort by the Warriors. Four more players scored in double figures, including Gui Santos, who finished with 14 points, three rebounds and three assists off the bench. Buddy Hield contributed 13 points, five rebounds and three assists, while Quinten Post put up 12 points, nine rebounds and three blocks. Brandin Podziemski, who got called out by Kerr before the game, finished with 10 points, three rebounds and two assists. Jonathan Kuminga also got called out by the coach, but he had an abysmal game. Kuminga had four points in 21 minutes, going 1-for-10 and grabbing seven boards. The Warriors are back to a .500 record of 12-12 as they go to the Windy City to face the Chicago Bulls on Sunday night. Spencer has seemingly solidified himself as the top backup point guard once Steph Curry returns from injury. It will be interesting to see if he'll stay hot against the Chicago Bulls. He's still playing on a two-way contract, which means he will be limited to just 50 games this season. Coach Steve Kerr told reporters after the loss to the Philadelphia 76ers about his current situation. Kerr is interested in signing him to a standard deal, though it's currently not possible. However, the Warriors don't have an open roster spot unless someone gets traded or released.
