With the Golden State Warriors laboring through injuries, Steve Kerr wants Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski to play their roles to perfection. Kerr pointed out what the young duo needs to do ahead of the Warriors' game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday. Speaking to reporters before the game, Kerr spoke about what Kuminga and Podziemski were doing wrong. The coach doesn't like seeing "J.K." make runs because he was too preoccupied with asking for the ball. Kuminga appeared to make some massive improvements in the first three weeks of the season before getting back to his old habits. "I'm really urging for him to get up the floor instead of holding back and asking for the ball," Kerr said, according to ESPN's Anthony Slater. As for Brandin Podziemski, Steve Kerr urged him to let the game come to him rather than hold the ball for too long. Kerr wants "Podz" playing off the ball rather than being a playmaker. "He's got to get off the ball early," Kerr said. "When he gets into trouble is when he tries too hard to make plays on his own."The Golden State Warriors entered Saturday's contest in Cleveland without seven players, including their core of Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler. Curry is dealing with a quadriceps injury and has already been ruled out for the rest of the team's road trip. Green suffered a foot injury in their previous game against the Philadelphia 76ers, while Butler has knee soreness. The Warriors are 11-12 heading into the game and have only won four games out of their last 10. Steve Kerr shares update on Steph Curry's returnSteve Kerr shares update on Steph Curry's return.
