Curry and his co-stars Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green did not play against the Cavaliers, leaving the likes of the unheralded Spencer to carry the team against the Cavaliers, whose squad had Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Darius Garland.

It was Spencer's first start this season, having been in the rotation to start the year. He is averaging 7.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game as a spark plug off the bench.

Against the Cavaliers, Spender made two triples in the fourth quarter on top of key free throws, from which he taunted the Cleveland crowd.

Spencer has been putting on astounding showings in November, scoring 17 and 16 points, respectively, in the two games before the win against the Cavaliers.

On the other hand, Curry has been dealing with a thigh injury, while Green nurses a foot issue. Butler has also been out with a knee injury.

With numerous injuries on their roster, the Warriors have lost six of their last 10 games, pushing them down to the eighth seed with a 12-12 record.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr commends Spencer for superb performance against the Cavaliers

Pat Spencer's impressive showing against the Cavaliers also caught the attention of his head coach Steve Kerr, who went to laud the second-year player.

In the post-game press conference against the Cavaliers, Kerr referenced a viral Spencer celebration in which he screamed, "I'm that motherf**ker."

"His coach realized that Pat is that motherf--ker," Kerr said. "That became clear. Sorry. Am I allowed to say that?"

Kerr then went on a more serious tone, commending Spencer for earning his minutes in the Warriors' rotation.

"It's fun to watch a guy who has had to fight for everything finally get his moment and not only seize it but grab it by the neck. This guy is a competitor," he said of Spencer.

The Warriors will return to action on Monday against the Chicago Bulls.
