San Antonio Spurs vs Phoenix Suns Game Summary

The injury-riddled San Antonio Spurs got another crack at the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. Without Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper, the Spurs hoped to get revenge after losing 130-118 to the Suns early this month. De’Aaron Fox, Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson led the visiting team, which has won three straight since Wemby suffered a calf injury.

The Spurs trailed early before leading for most of the way. San Antonio's balanced scoring, led by Luke Kornet and De'Aaron Fox, gave them a 30-25 advantage after the first quarter. Phoenix shot 2-for-13 from deep, a key reason it could not hold on to the lead.

Fox received help from across the roster to keep the Spurs in the driver's seat at halftime. Jeremy Sochan, Keldon Johnson and Carter Bryant came off the bench to combine for 16 points to help the team take a 56-49 lead after two quarters.

Dillon Brooks and Devin Booker had 22 points, seven rebounds and two assists together. The Suns weren't as aggressive from the 3-point line in the second quarter, going 2-for-4 from that distance.

Devin Booker's 11 points led the Suns' 37-24 dominance over the Spurs in the third quarter. Phoenix finally found its touch from deep, making 6 of 14 from behind the arc to take an 86-80 lead entering the fourth quarter.

The San Antonio Spurs stayed within striking distance before Dillon Brooks' back-to-back 3-pointers seemed to deflate them. De'Aaron Fox tried to rally his team late but lost time, allowing the Phoenix Suns to win 111-102.
