“What you say?” Westbrook asked. “Don’t play around with me. Don’t play on me.”

Westbrook has not been a fan of the name. He got into an altercation last season with a Kings fan while playing for the Denver Nuggets. The one-time MVP once explained why he won’t let anyone shame his name or legacy for his child.

“When it comes to basketball, I don’t mind the criticism of missing and making shots,” Westbrook stated. “But the moment it becomes where my name is getting shamed, it becomes an issue. I’ve kind of let it go in the past because it never really bothered me. … Westbrick to me is now shaming, shaming my name and my legacy for my kid.”

Russell Westbrook helped the Kings to a 127-111 road win against the Heat, their first win in four games. He finished the game with a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds. Zach LaVine led all scorers with 42 points and five rebounds.

He has played more minutes since moving to Sacramento. The 17-year veteran is averaging 13.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game.

Carmelo Anthony thinks Russell Westbrook will get Chris Paul treatment

Carmelo Anthony on a Tuesday episode of his podcast, “7PM in Brooklyn” asserted that the Kings will give Russell Westbrook the same treatment the LA Clippers gave to former player Chris Paul.

He added that teammate DeMar Rozan will get the same treatment as well.

"It's about to happen to Russ. It's [already] happening to Russ. It's about to happen to DeMar DeRozan. It's about to happen to all of these n****," Anthony said. "(Anthony Davis). The next trade that AD has, it's going downhill from there. This is what's about to happen... I understand it, but the way the legends of our game gets treated is f**** up."

Chris Paul and the Clippers parted ways on Wednesday, shocking the basketball world. The move left James Harden and Kawhi Leonard shocked as well, as Paul had traveled with the team to Atlanta.

CP3 and coach Ty Lue were reportedly at loggerheads. He was vocal in calling out the team for its poor run of games, a situation that didn’t sit well with Lue.
