NBA legend Reggie Miller said that Charlotte Hornets rookie Kon Knueppel could surpass Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry.

On Tuesday's episode of "The Dan Patrick Show," Miller was asked if Knueppel is this season's top rookie. The Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer added that Knueppel could unseat Curry as arguably the best shooter in history.

"He's winning Rookie of the Year," Miller said. "And dare I say this, dare I say this: Is Stephen Curry going to be a little nervous in about 15 years? ... Just go back and look at Steph’s first two or three years, in terms of 3-pointers made, and what Kon has done this year. Just look at their first years.

"But here is the problem, you got to stay healthy, longevity. 17 years, 18 years for Stephen Curry. Can Kon Knueppel do that over a long period of time? I want to see it."

Through the first 17 games of his career, Knueppel has knocked down 63 3-pointers, which leads all rookies and is the fourth-most in the NBA. The Hornets rookie is averaging 3.7 3-pointers per game at a 43.8% clip. Miller believes that Knueppel could eventually surpass Curry's mark.

In his first three seasons, Curry made a total of 372 3-pointers for an average of 2.7 per game. Despite a slow start, the Warriors star became the all-time 3-point shooting leader in 2021, when he surpassed Ray Allen. The 37-year-old Curry currently has 4,131 made 3-pointers and has shown no signs of slowing down.

Through 15 games this season, Curry is leading the NBA with 73 3-pointers for an average of 4.9 per game. Knueppel has some work to do if he intends to surpass the 11-time All-Star.

"He's been great for us," Bridges said. "He's been our best player this year. He's been assisting and he brings it every game. He brings it everyday, that's the type of person he is. So, it has been great playing with him."

Bridges leads Charlotte in scoring at 22.0 points per game, followed by LaMelo Ball's 21.2 ppg. Knueppel is close behind at 19.4 ppg to go along with 5.8 rpg and 2.9 apg on 49.1% shooting, including 43.8% from 3-point range. The Hornets selected the 6-foot-6 wing with the No. 4 pick of the 2025 NBA draft.
