The OKC Thunder outlasted the Indiana Pacers 141-135 in double overtime on Thursday behind 55 points from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Aaron Wiggins hit two late 3-pointers while SGA hit clutch free throws to drag the defending champs to a highly entertaining win.

Pascal Siakam forced the first overtime when he scored a pull-up jumper with 6.8 seconds remaining. SGA missed a potential game-winning shot to push the showdown into five extra minutes.

In the second overtime, it was Bennedict Mathurin's turn to play hero. The Pacers' shooting guard, who had 15 points in the fourth quarter, hit a floater to tie the game at 124 apiece. The game went into another five-minute extension when SGA missed another potential game-winning shot.

OKC Thunder vs Indiana Pacers Game Summary

The OKC Thunder faced off against the Indiana Pacers on Thursday, marking the first encounter between the two teams since the 2025 NBA Finals. The last time Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Co. visited Indianapolis, they lost 108-91 in Game 6 before winning Game 7 103-91 for the championship. OKC headed into the highly awaited rematch missing Jalen Williams (wrist) and Alex Caruso (concussion).

Without Tyrese Haliburton, Pascal Siakam led the home team's stand in the first quarter. Siakam tallied 11 points and two rebounds to help his team to a 25-22 advantage. SGA was just as impressive for the Thunder, delivering 10 points, one rebound and one steal.

The Thunder grabbed the lead midway through the second quarter and held on to it at halftime. SGA continued to sizzle, adding 10 more points to his total. Lu Dort and Ajay Mitchell gave the visiting team a big lift on offense. OKC entered halftime with a 54-47 advantage.

Siakam and Obi Toppin combined for 24 points, nine rebounds and two assists for the Pacers, who went 4-for-19 from deep.

The Indiana Pacers' balanced attack in the third quarter allowed it to close the gap on Oklahoma City. Obi Toppin, Jarace Walker, Bennedict Mathurin and Ben Sheppard stepped up to help Pascal Siakam. They entered the fourth quarter trailing 81-78.

The final 12 minutes were a slugfest on both ends of the floor. Pascal Siakam forced the game into overtime with a jumper. The extra period was just as closely contested. Bennedict Mathurin scored to force the game into another five-minute extension. The OKC Thunder eventually held on to a 141-135 win.
