Since the offseason, the Sacramento Kings have been rumored to be open to listening to trade offers, including for their star guard Zach LaVine. However, NBA insider Sam Amick said the 6-foot-5 guard has drawn no interest in the trade market.

On Thursday's episode of "The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross," Amick discussed LaVine's future. The two-time NBA All-Star is in the fourth season of his five-year, $215.16 million contract, per Spotrac. He has a $48.97 million player option next season. The league insider said that trading for LaVine might be difficult for teams, considering his contract.

"It's a really big number, we got long ways to go," Amick said. "And then the absence of chatter about a specific suitor. I can’t tell you one team that is monitoring Zach LaVine with even the remote possibility of them saying, 'Yeah, let’s do it.' Maybe that team exists, I’m not aware of it."

Amick added that LaVine playing well early this season is a welcome sight for the struggling franchise. Through five games, the 30-year-old guard leads the team in scoring with 29.2 points per game on 54.1% shooting.

"In a vacuum, it’s a good thing for the Kings and their fans that Zach is playing well," Amick added. "I just don’t know what it means going forward."

Sacramento acquired LaVine in February as part of a three-team trade, which involved former Kings star De'Aaron Fox going to the San Antonio Spurs.

In 32 games with Sacramento last season, LaVine put up 22.4 ppg and 3.8 apg on 51.1% shooting, including 44.6% from 3-point range.

NBA insider says Zach LaVine is not among the Kings' issues right now

On the same episode of "The Carmichael Dave Show with Jason Ross" on Thursday, NBA insider Sam Amick also discussed the Sacramento Kings' 1-4 start. According to Amick, the team is "legitimately trying to compete" and is not tanking.

With Zach LaVine's hot start this season, Amick believes that LaVine is not among the team's concerns.

"In terms of evaluation, I actually think that Zach is getting probably getting pretty positive reviews to this point," Amick said (Timestamp: 5:30). "On their list of issues at the moment, I don't actually think that he's near the top."

Rumors about LaVine being dealt this season were fueled by the Kings opting not to offer a contract extension this summer. In Amick's article for The Athletic on June 26, he wrote that there were "no plans for the Kings to prioritize" a new deal. Amick added that the franchise prefers to pay "a younger player who can be a long-term part of their picture."
