Zion Williamson has only played five games this season despite getting into the best shape of his NBA career this past summer. Williamson is dealing with another muscle-related injury, which prompted an NBA analyst to make a huge claim about the New Orleans Pelicans star.
Speaking on the "Road Trippin'" podcast with Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, Perkins explained how Williamson wrecked the Pelicans franchise. He pointed to all the problems the former No. 1 pick has caused since he was drafted in 2019.
"Zion has completely f**ked this organization since they drafted him, top to bottom," Perkins said. "Like, real talk, because you can't depend on him. You don't know what's going on. It's so many things you have to do. He had to clean up in certain areas."

Kendrick Perkins gave a shoutout to Zion Williamson's agent, Bill Duffy, who seemingly did his best to clean up the New Orleans Pelicans star's act. However, Perkins thought that it was time for the Pelicans to move on from their best player since Anthony Davis.
"He's not available, so what are you going to do with him?" Perkins said. "They could waive him, they could trade him. What is his trade market? I think they should move on from Zion. Every year we get excited."
The one-time NBA champ added that Williamson's injury history is something that has hindered him, especially the hamstring issues. It could be related to his body, shape or athleticism altogether, since he's a rare specimen due to his combination of size, speed and power.
Zion Williamson cleared to play against the Nuggets

After missing the last nine games due to a hamstring injury, Zion Williamson has been cleared to return. Williamson was listed as available by the New Orleans Pelicans ahead of their game against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday at the Smoothie King Center.
Williamson was averaging 22.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.0 steals per game prior to his injury. He was also shooting 48.7% from the field, though the Pelicans had a rough 0-5 record when he was playing this season.
New Orleans entered Wednesday's contest with an abysmal record of 2-12, which is the worst record in the Western Conference. They were also on a six-game losing streak, going up against Nikola Jokic and company. It should be pointed out that the Pelicans don't own their pick in next year's draft.
