Since last year, Stephen A. Smith has become more vocal on political issues. There have also been folks who have suggested that the ESPN analyst run for the president, but Smith has maintained that he has no interest in running for the office.
On Tuesday, Smith appeared on the "Joe and Jada" podcast. Rapper Fat Joe suggested Smith run for the office, and even assured that Smith would get his vote. However, Smith cited his lucrative deal with ESPN as the biggest reason he wouldn't want to run for the president.
"I'm not giving up my money. ... I ... ain't giving my money for a $400,000 salary and all that stress," Smith said.
However, Stephen A. Smith said that despite not running for the presidential office, he would want to do one thing.

"But I will tell you this. Here's where it becomes intriguing. Number one, the one thing I know I would love to do is to be on the debate stage against the politicians," he added. "My brother. ... You ... wouldn't see me for like a month to two months. Every single day, I would be hunkered down just to make sure I knew the issues." (Timestamp Starts at 40:40)
"And when I show up on stage for a debate against politicians, you will see me in a state of mind you have never seen me before. I won't miss sh**. I'd be on a mission to eat everybody alive."
Stephen A. Smith says he would trade half of Knicks roster for Giannis Antetokounmpo
Last offseason, amid massive trade discussions, ESPN reported that Giannis Antetokounmpo had one single trade destination in mind, and it was New York. Giannis has repeatedly said that he would want to win more championships, and that was his goal.
During his appearance on the "Joe and Jada" podcast, Stephen A. Smith boldly claimed that he wouldn't shy away from making a big sacrifice for the New York Knicks to sign him with the team. Smith also highlighted the ease with which the Knicks, with Antetokounmpo, would have reached the NBA Finals.
"The New York Knicks have the best chance they've had at the Finals in 25 years. I'm going to tell you why. Jayson Tatum Achilles. Tyrese Haliburton Achilles," Smith said. (Timestamp: 15:37 onwards)
Smith was also asked if he would trade half of the Knicks roster for Giannis.
"Let me tell you something right now, Giannis in New York? S***, yes, in a heartbeat. I wouldn’t hesitate. It’s Giannis, dog," Smith remarked."You know why? Because I'm gonna have a chance to get to the finals every with Giannis."
This season could be Giannis Antetokounmpo's finals season with the Milwaukee Bucks. If the Greek Freak somehow puts on the Knicks jersey, expect Stephen A. Smith to have a field day.
