While Anthony Edwards missed the game with a foot injury, Steph Curry marked his comeback after a five-game absence. The Timberwolves started the game with a lineup comprising Bones Hyland, Donte DiVincenzo, Jaden McDaniels, Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert. The Warriors' starting lineup featured Curry, Pat Spencer, Buddy Hield, Jimmy Butler and Quinten Post.

The Steph Curry-Pat Spencer duo looked fluid in their first seven minutes together on the floor. Curry dropped 10 points in the opening quarter, while Spencer chipped in with five as the Warriors trailed 28-27 after the first 12 minutes.

The Warriors' shot quality fell a bit in the second quarter, but the hosts found a way to secure a 63-61 lead at halftime. Curry made some tough shots, while Spencer and Post provided the veteran point with much-needed support on the offensive end.

Both teams played excellent basketball in the third quarter, with the Warriors entering the final frame with a 91-88 lead. Curry and Randle both had 25 points, with no team leading by more than six points at any stage of the game.
